To be eligible for ARTC, you must already have:

  • A bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited college.  NOTE: Holders of non-US degrees must have their transcripts appropriately evaluated, and candidates must meet all other program requirements, including passing the Praxis II (or ACTFL) approved by the state for world language certification in the target language.
  • A major or 30 credits in an eligible subject area or closely related field.
  • A Grade Point Average of 3.0 to align with the standard set for other teacher preparation programs in Delaware.  Limited exceptions will be made when justified.
